SHEQ assurance system
EPS operates an integrated quality, health and safety and environmental (SHEQ) assurance system, based upon a cycle of continuous improvement.
Our IMS has external third-party certification to ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 50001:2011 standards. In addition EPS is certified by Achilles UVDB for our SHEQ.
The operation of the QMS is set out in IMS manuals which include the company's quality policy and a number of detailed standard operating procedures. The QMS also defines the process of engaging our supply chain partners and the control and monitoring measures to be established. Such measures ensure our QMS requirements extend to our partners within the supply chain.
The QMS adopts a process approach providing, for internal continuous improvement of the system. Our process approach allows for continuous improvement and recognises the value customers bring to our organisational systems through understanding fully their requirements (the inputs) and monitoring their satisfaction (the outputs).
Quality management system
Key elements of the EPS QMS are:
- Management responsibility - commitment of management to provide a quality service/product is fundamental to the operation. This is demonstrated through the adoption of a quality policy, the setting of quality objectives including the designation of responsibility for their achievement, and the ongoing management review of the QMS and its performance
- Resource management - our QMS requires adequate resources to provide delivery of products/services. This includes human resources, the infrastructure and the work environment and involves both planning and review. It also requires that competence is assessed and training provided where required
- Product realisation - formally documented and controlled processes ensure the successful provision of the company's products/services. These procedures cover the full scope of the process from planning and design, through purchasing and supplier control, to production/service operations and testing and inspection
- Measurement, analysis and improvement - operation of the QMS is monitored by a variety of means including internal and external audit results, non-conformances and customer complaints and feedback. Analysis of these different measurements allows corrective and preventive actions to be identified and improvements to be made. They also inform the management review and lead to the identification of new objectives.
At EPS we seek to provide customers with a valuable and dynamic service with the highest possible quality. In doing this we maintain our market leading reputation, and besides constantly developing relationships with new customers we are adamant to look after our existing client base with the greatest care.
