Brown–Forman (Clintock) Ireland produces up to 700,000 cases of Southern Comfort whiskey for the Irish and European markets.  Its production facility is located in Dublin.

In the summer of 2006, AH Cullen, which is part of the EPS Group, designed, installed and commissioned a reverse osmosis plant to provide high purity water for the production of Southern Comfort whiskey.  AH Cullen also has a preventative maintenance programme in place with our client.

The reverse osmosis system used in this project is the Culligan "Aqua Clear" IWE 8.  Culligan is a prestigious and well-known OEM of specialist water treatment equipment worldwide, and AH Cullen is the exclusive agent for Culligan in Ireland. 

The pre-treatment plant incorporated before the reverse osmosis unit is very important to ensure the whole life costs of the RO modules is kept to a minimum. This pre-treatment consists of Culligan pressure sand filter, water softening, de-chlorination and micro-filtration.
