This project involved a new industrial water disinfection system for Kerry Ingredients, Listowel, Co Kerry. The Kerry Group is a world leader in food ingredients. Headquartered in Tralee, the group supplies over 15,000 food, food ingredients and flavour products to customers in more than 140 countries worldwide.
In January 2009, AH Cullen, which is part of the EPS Group, was awarded the contract to supply, install and commission an independently validated ultra violet disinfection system. AH Cullen is very proud to have won this project.
The scope of the project consisted of:
- Selection of validated UV system
- Interpretation of water analysis
- UVT measurement/metering
- Interface of UV system in existing multi-barrier water treatment plant
- SCADA - Profibus
- Dose pacing c/w flow and UVT inputs
- USEPA/DVGW validation
- Cooling loop
- Mechanical pipework design/drawings
